As part of efforts to build the capacity of the UN country team in Somalia and accelerate the implementation of the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda (YPS) at country level, the United Nations in Somalia partnered with the Swedish Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) to design a tailored training on YPS programming.
The training has been specifically designed for UN staff working on programme development and management at country-level and cover different elements of the YPS Agenda, including its core principles, frameworks and milestones as well as very practical aspects such as how to ensure the conflict analysis is youth-sensitive and how to ensure meaningful youth participation throughout the project cycle.
The training was delivered twice (in Mogadishu and Hargeisa), benefiting over 60 UN staff from 15 different UN entities operating across Somalia.
