Early this year, when I got back to Brazil I had the amazing opportunity to work with my good friend Hazami Barmada, Co-Founder and CEO of the Humanity Lab Foundation on a super exciting new project, the launch of the #BeTheOne Campaign.
The Humanity Lab Foundation and Warner Music, in collaboration with the United Nations in Brazil launched a new global campaign to mobilize support and ignite action towards the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The campaign was launched with the premier of a new hit song by award-winning international singers Maejor (USA) and Iza (Brazil) called “Let me be the one” 🎶🌎, that will serve as the theme song for the campaign.
The track was released worldwide on May 21, during the celebrations of the International Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, together with its powerful videoclip 🎥 directed by @felipesassi.
If you have not seen yet, make sure to watch this beautiful celebration of diversity and unity:
If the music video is not inspiring enough, you can also watch this mini-doc to learn a bit more about the project, the behind the scenes as well as the individual stories of the cast involved in the project (which included indigenous people, refugees, LGBTQI+ people, among others).
I don’t need to say that I was super excited to be part of the campaign, and to work with so many inspiring people in this project!!!
